While smoothies (or shakes, whichever you prefer to call them) are wonderful for so many reasons, they can become, well, a little boring at times. Why not freshen up the same ol' smoothie you're used to drinking day in and day out and putting a different spin on it? 

Introducing...the smoothie bowl! 

Is it basically a smoothie in a bowl? Yes. But with all the right toppings, you can instantly change your mundane morning smoothie into something almost magical. And the best part? You can change it up constantly by blending different fruits, tossing in a few veggies, and swapping out toppings. The possibilities for smoothie bowls are endless!

Berry Peachy Detox Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 C unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 6 strawberries
  • 1/2 C blueberries
  • 5 frozen peach slices
  • 1/3 cucumber
  • handful of spinach
  • 1 scoop Pure Pea Vanilla
  • 1/2 scoop Pure Cleanse
  • ice

Instructions:

  1. Pour almond milk in the bottom of your blender first.
  2. Next, add fruit and vegetables.
  3. Top with spinach and then powders.
  4. Finish layering your blender with a handful of ice cubes.
  5. Blend on high until you reach a creamy consistency and pour into a bowl.
  6. Top with any toppings you desire. For this smoothie, we topped it with shredded coconut, ground flaxseeds and gluten-free oats and garnished it with fresh blueberries. Grab a spoon and enjoy!
